Cast YOUR vote!

The Wera Tools Driver of the Day Award shortlist for Event 8 – Whilton Mill is now LIVE.

Now is your chance to vote for the driver who impressed YOU the most during the weekend, with the winner receiving the coveted Wera Tools trophy, tool prizes, and Motorsport UK offering a free test day at a BKC venue of their choice in 2023 or 2024.

The nominations have been made up of drivers that impressed the panel throughout the weekend and now you can play your part in deciding the winner.

Nominations are:

Bambino – Ronie Kempson
After a near perfect weekend for Kempson, the nomination has to go to this young man. Qualifying couldn’t be closer with just 0.02 seconds separating the top two, but Kempton would take pole position. With heat one not going as planned, dropping four places to finish fifth. Kempton knew he had to pick up the pace. Heat two he would prove that qualifying wasn’t a fluke by taking the win by just 0.08 from both Chapman and Algar.
It was all to play for in the final, with Kempson starting second, he had to fight for his first Motorsport UK podium. And fight he did! After fifteen close fought laps Kempson won his first ever win in the British Kart Championships by a very close 0.03 on the line.

Junior TKM – William Briant
With his first pole position of the 2023 season, Briant certainly shook the field up. Having put it on pole Briant had some big shoes to fill with a championship fight happening behind him.
With a tough fight in both heats Briant would start the pre final in third place where more drama would unfold with Briant falling all the way to ninth!
Despite these mishaps Briant would keep his head held high and fight back in the final to claim back three petitions to finish sixth after a very clean weekend of racing.

TKM Extreme – Jessica Fitch-Hall
This nomination has come from the terrible situation the Fitch-Hall family suffered after the weekend on the drive home.  Just 15 minutes after leaving the track their vehicle caught fire and subsequently, all of their karting and race gear was destroyed.

Simply vote below – closes 10am Friday 8th September – One vote per person, duplicates will be annulled.
