The Wera Tools Driver of the Day Award shortlist for Event 6 – Larkhall is now LIVE.

Now is your chance to vote for the driver who impressed YOU the most during the weekend, with the winner receiving the coveted Wera Tools trophy, tool prizes, and Motorsport UK offering a free test day at a BKC venue of their choice in 2023 or 2024.

The nominations have been made up of drivers that impressed the panel throughout the weekend and now you can play your part in deciding the winner.

Nominations are:

Bambino – Rex Pooley (Privateer)
Pole in TQ and was never out of the lead battle in both heat races, finishing less than a second behind the winner both times. In the final he finished 2nd just two hundredths behind the winner and set fastest lap.

Waterswift Restricted – Henry Clarke (Toby George Motorsport)
Came alive on Sunday after a disappointing Saturday. Gained 9 places to finish 6th in the pre final and then claimed his first podium with 3rd place in the final

Waterswift Non Rsstricted – Kanishk Rao (Oliver Rowland Motorsport )
Qualified 6th and gained places in every race. Two top 5 finishes in the heats and led list of the pre final. Passed Jessie Phillips in the final and held him off for his first career win.

Junior X30 – Taylor Orridge (Croc Promotions)
Fastest in qualifying and won both heat races and the pre final . Was leading the final until an incident in turn one but still fought back to finish 3rd

Honda – Max Taddei (Privateer)
Third in qualifying and a close second in heat 1, was leading heat 2 until he came in a lap early but then charged back from 6th to 2nd in the pre final and won the final after a great scrap with Ryan White and several others

Senior X30 – Khali Atkins (Croc Promotions)
One of only 6 drivers not to suffer a DQ in qualifying, Atkins finished 4th in heat 1 before a DNF in heat 2 left him P9 on the grid for the pre final. Came through to finish 4th in that race with fastest lap and then almost grabbed the win in the final
