The Motorsport UK Wera Tools British Kart Championships are pleased to announce the 2023 calendar for the IAME categories with a new look to the racing roster for each of the hotly-contested classes.

The IAME Cadet, Junior X30 and Senior X30 contenders will be joined by the all-new Water Swift classes, each battling it out over five scintillating race weekends in the season ahead. In addition, two new venues have been added to the billing offering an exciting prospect for championship protagonists.

The home of IAME, PF International kicks off the season in late April before a trip to GYG (Glan Y Gors) offers a journey into the heart of Wales in June ahead of Shenington the following month which takes contenders to the popular Oxfordshire track in the summer. Scotland’s Larkhall hosts the penultimate event in August before the season finale ‘and a return to the popular Rowrah circuit in the Lake District rounds out the season in September.

Event 2:          GYG                           9-11 June

Event 3:          Shenington              21-23 July

Event 4:          Larkhall                    18-20 August

Event 5:          Rowrah                     15-17 September

2023 will see further enhancements to the on-track CCTV system, a new on-event app and further improvements in the race centre to ensure that the Championship continues to offer high-level, fair, competitive racing for all.

In addition to the improvements in technology, it will also continue with control fuel from series partners Vital Equipment, coupled with onsite fuel testing taking place each weekend as well as trackside support from brand Importer IAME UK.

We are also delighted to confirm that award-winning broadcasters Alpha Live will once again be providing comprehensive live streaming of each event. In conjunction with the series’ social media coverage, the British Kart Championships was taken to every corner of the globe, with an audience totalling nearly 6 million in 2022.

“We are also delighted to welcome the addition of the new Water Swift restricted Cadet class and Water Swift Interclass to the IAME BKC portfolio. This is of course in addition to the current IAME Gazelle drivers who are also able to compete for honours in the Gazelle class.”
