This weekend, 9th – 11th October, marks the sixth event in the revised 2020 British Kart Championships calendar. Drivers from the TKM, Honda Cadet and KZ2 classes will visit the track to try and earn vital championship points at Fulbeck.
The track, situated in Lincolnshire, has been a staple in the motorsport community since it’s inception in the 1950’s. Many notable names have raced at Fulbeck over the years, including current F1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton.
After claiming the top step of the podium during the last round at Warden Law, Joshua Graham will be getting behind the wheel of his Honda Cadet kart at Fulbeck to attempt to claim the win from a grid of 30 drivers. Joining him on the podium during the last rounf were his two teammates Blake Ticehurst and Ewan Charman – making it a full podium of Ambition Motorsport drivers. Ticehurst and Charman will also be returning with their sights set on the first-place trophy and we’re likely to see close competition between the drivers.
From the Junior TKM class, last round’s winner and Klaassen Motorsport driver Louis Harvey will be returning to try and claim two out of two wins. However, it’s likely that Harvey will have a fight on his hands as regular front runners Harvey Cole and Alistair Cresswell will also return to try and win a place on the coveted podium against 19 other drivers.
The TKM Extreme class will welcome back a grid of 23 drivers, who will all compete to be crowned the winner during this weekend’s proceedings at Fulbeck. Also returning are last round’s winner, Adam Sparrow, and runners up, Theo Hesketh and James Pashley.
The KZ2 class will be made up of a small but mighty grid of 14 drivers. This weekend represents a double-header and the final event for the KZ2 class, where the KZ2 British Kart Champion will be crowned. After a solid performance and a win during the last round at Rowrah, Charlton currently leads the championship. The vice-champion title is still up for grabs with only eight points separating second to sixth place. Currently Ryan Cannon sits in second place in the standings, but Tom Longfield is just two points behind in third, with Lee Ward, Miles Murphy and James Glenister making up the other three places.
