Junior TKM contender Yehan Kallychurn has been named the Wera Tools Driver of the Day from the opening British Kart Championships event of 2023 which took place at PFi at the start of the month.
Kallychurn was nominated by the panel of judges, along with a driver from each of the remaining classes thanks to their on-track performance, sporting act or overcoming adversity. Each karter was in line to scoop the coveted Wera Tools Trophy and Wera Tools prizes, whilst Motorsport UK will supplement the prize with a free test day at a BKC venue in 2023 or 2024. The winner was decided by a public online poll.
He was nominated thanks to being a “Double heat winner as well as a clean sweep of pre-final and final victories. Only a P3 in qualifying prevented a total weekend sweep”
Kallychurn will be presented with his trophy at the next round of the TKM season.
