The 2020 British Kart Championships returns to action in just over a fortnights time with the Rotax classes getting the show underway on the 21/22 March. The TKM series will be next-up with their first round in April at Fulbeck with the IAME runners hot on the heals the following weekend, with KZ2 starting their campaign at the end of April.
Already the grids are starting to swell with the best of British registering for the forthcoming season – with some of the grids awash with front runners from 2019. With several champions signalling their intent, there will be plenty of quality drivers with the target on the back, looking for plenty wheel-to-wheel battles this year.
In the IAME category, all the top three from 2019 will reignite the battle, with Danny Keirle, Thomas Turner and Oliver Hodgson driving for honours. Zak Oates, the 2019 Junior TKM title holder will also do battle in Senior X30 in 2020. Stepping-up into the senior category will be Caden McQueen who finished second in the Junior X30 class last season. He will be eyeing some scalps in his first season in the class.
Taking his place on the Junior X30 grid will be a collection of drivers coming through the ranks. Harry Jnr Burgoyne moves up from the Cadet category while Theo Micouris and Luke Watts will both be vying for the top step in 2020 after stepping onto the 2019 Mini X30 podium. Mitchell Gibbons – the reigning Honda Cadet Champion will join the IAME runners, as will Connor Duncan (third in Honda Cadet) who will dovetail a season with IAME and Honda.
In the TKM classes Louis Harvey will hope to improve upon his third in the Junior TKM in 2020 while James Pashley, Adam Sparrow and Lee Whittingham going head-to-head for the spoils in TKM Extreme.
Getting us underway in 2020 will be the Rotax category and the classes, like the other championships be full of podium finishes from 2019.
Minimax Champion Archie Kitching will start in the Junior Rotax class with third placed Tristian Rennie in hot pursuit.
The Junior Rotax rostrum trio from last season will do battle again, this time in the Senior establishment with Kai Hunter, Tom Adams and Will Elswood going for gold in 2020 – while Oakley Prior will be looking to climb one step higher in 2020 as he hopes to better his 2020 result.

We have so many seeded drivers throughput the classes returning to defend their numbers and we have drivers who run at the front of IAME or Rotax world finals heading to the BKC.
