BKC Championship Manager Dan Parker said:

“We are delighted to be able to announce a calendar for the IAME Championship in 2020. Motorsport UK has worked closely with the DCMS (Department for Culture Media and Sport) to get the sport back on track as soon as we felt it was safe and feasible to do so.

“During the lockdown period, we have provided clubs and venues with detailed guidance in order for them to begin events in July with many circuits already open for testing, which is great news for the sport.

“In these challenging times, safety remains our number one priority and we wanted to make sure that we begin racing we have appropriate measures in place. The plans for a restart of a shortened series are supported by the teams, competitors and clubs.

“We are very much looking forward to getting the British Championships underway, and we will be releasing calendars for the other Championship classes in the coming days. We will have limited availability in some classes and due to possible restrictions on numbers, it is advised to submit registrations and entries as soon as they open in order to guarantee a place on the grid.”

Registrations will open in due course. In the meantime, follow the championships on social media and motorsportuk.org and britishkartchampionships.org for further updates.
