Cast YOUR vote!

The Wera Tools Driver of the Day Award shortlist for Event 2 – Kimbolton 2023 is now LIVE.

Now is your chance to vote for the driver who impressed YOU the most during the weekend, with the winner receiving the coveted Wera Tools trophy, tool prizes, and Motorsport UK offering a free test day at a BKC venue of their choice in 2023 or 2024.

The nominations have been made up of drivers that impressed the panel throughout the weekend and now you can play your part in deciding the winner.

Nominations are:

Micro Max – Edward Haynes
Mr Consistency in the new class. 3rd in qually, 2nd and 3rd in his heats, 3rd in the pre final and 3rd again in the final after a battle with his teammate for RCE’s first MSUK podium

Mini Max – Cole Denholm
‘The Closer’ does it again. P2 in qually and heat 1 but then beat teammate Jacob Ashcroft in 3 consecutive last lap battles to win heat two, pre final and the final itself with a superb outside last lap move at Derek’s Corner

Junior Max – Armand Hamilton
Stunning debut and while most of the other overseas stars struggled to cope , Hamilton recovered from 24th in qualifying to finish top six in both heats and then P5 in pre final and P6 in the final .

Senior Max – Teddy Pritchard Williams
SuperTed gets the nod ahead of race winner Sean Butcher after he took a heat win and P4 in the pre final and the final despite coping with an injured knee and having raced only three times since the end of the 2022 BKC a season. He beat a quality grid to win heat one as well.

KZ2 – James Glenister
Started slowly on Saturday with 12th in qually and heat one before gaining nine places to finish 3rd in heat two. Seized an engine in the pre final before going from 15th to 3rd in the final.

The judging panel would like to give a special mention to KZ2 racer Ella Stevens for her stand out performance during the weekend, leaving the opening round in the lead of the championship. However, a Jump Start penalty during Heat 2 renders her ineligible for the award at Event 2.
