In one of the most significant moves for the world of Bambino karting in the past 10 years , Motorsport UK are delighted to announce that the Champions Kart Club proudly announces its role as the official organiser and promotor for the official Motorsport UK Championship for the new MightE Bambino Class and also the Comer C50 Petrol Bambino Championship from 2024.

With roots dating back to 2010, Champions Kart Club has history as the Bambino Kart Club, highlighting its longstanding dedication to the Bambino racing community. The club boasts a legacy of notable drivers who have achieved success in past championships, adding to the prestige of the upcoming competition. Darren proudly holds the distinction of initiating the first-ever Bambino series in the UK, solidifying its pioneering role in the karting landscape. The club’s selection to host the Official Motorsport UK Championship underscores its commitment to excellence, ensuring top-tier Bambino competitions for years to come and drivers can race for the covered Motorsport UK seeded numbers.

Run by Darren Beavers who as a prominent figure in Bambino karting, Darren Beavers’ leadership brings a wealth of experience to the organisation, promising a well-run and expertly managed championship all with live streaming at all the events in 2024. The introduction of on-track Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) serves to enhance safety measures and provides efficient monitoring throughout the racing experience.

The Champions Kart Club priorities participant safety by conducting Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks on all team managers and mechanics via Motorsport UK British Kart Championships fostering a secure environment for all involved.

There are Strict controls on tyre usage measures which ensures fair competition, upholds regulations, and maintains the integrity of the championship and offers excellent value for customers. On the technical side the Championship Eligibility scrutineers – Paul Klassen/Gary Walker will meticulously oversee participant eligibility, contributing to the championship’s credibility.

Widely known as Mr Bambino: Darren Beavers’ earned moniker “Mr Bambino” acknowledges his significant and enduring contributions to the Bambino Karting scene, adding prestige to Champions Kart Club.

Darren Beavers commented “It’s a privilege to be able to finally have the reigns and be in control of the organisation of the Championship Title for the Bambino Classes, having assisted Motorsport UK for many years in nurturing the Bambinos into future stars,

it’s now great to be able to follow that through all the way and take little racers from the early stages when they start out, right though to end of their Bambino journey where each year I’ll be handing over the prestigious number 1 plate to the Lucky Winner”
